Plan Your TripThe accommodations differ according to the regions you are traveling to, the budget you have allocated and the type of stay you prefer. The most common services you get in Nepal are hotels, guesthouse, teahouses, homestays, and tents (camping).
Trekking is simply walking along a fixed trail amidst the beautiful scenarios of the mountains until you reach your destination. Trekking consists of multiple days of walking in rural and underdeveloped areas and is mostly thrilling/adventurous.
People often confuse trekking with hiking but hiking needs lesser effort than an actual trek. Hiking is also basically walking but for a shorter distance with minimal planning and organization. It is considered a recreational activity that involves walking alongside nature, enjoying the beautiful sceneries.
As the name suggests “Peak Climbing” requires trekkers to summit a Himalayan peak. Peak climbing is both physically and technically challenging compared to the normal treks. The trekkers are specially trained for it. Nepal is undoubtedly the best mountaineering destination for peak climbing and mountain expedition as there are 362 peaks available for the Mountaineers to climb.

There are various adventure activities in Nepal. River rafting, paragliding, bungee jump, zip flyer, honey hunting, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, etc. are to name a few. Nepal is renowned for its pleasant climate throughout the year. Nepal has an average temperature of approximately 19 – 27 in summer and 2 to 12 in winter. It experiences moderate rainfall from June to August.
The most common equipment’s required for trekking and peak climbing are ice axe, crampons, rope, harness, tape slings, snow bar, helmet, jumar/ascender, and mountaineering boots.
As thrilling and adventurous it is to travel through the mysterious routes and wilderness of different regions of Nepal, it can get quite challenging as well as dangerous without an expert alongside. Altitude sickness is a sickness that occurs at a high altitude place mostly ranging from 2000 m due to the deficiency in the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. Altitude sickness results in mild headaches and might be life-threatening if not treated immediately and properly. During an altitude sickness do not ascent until the symptoms go away, drink extra water, rest, stay warm, descend to the lower altitude if possible and eat foods with high carbohydrates.
